It is no longer enough just to provide knowledge. It’s no longer enough to spoon feed a bunch of strategies.

We must walk side by side with our students to develop their practical skills.

This ensures our students attain long-term skills and competency, rather than short term knowledge and no idea how to apply it when it comes to real life investing.

James Lim

An experienced investor, James has been trading and investing in stocks, ETFs, commodities and index markets for over 9 years.

James has been a mentor to investors since 2015.

He was also invited and spoke at the University of Queensland on investing in the stock market.

Together with his mentor John Yii, they started a trading signals membership business in 2013.

James founded the Stewardship Finance Academy (SFA) when he realized that tips and trading signals alone are not enough to help people. Therefore, SFA was founded with the aim of teaching people investment knowledge and guide them on their investment journey. 

Financial decisions are life decisions. Do not give your life to others who do not have your best interests in making financial decisions for you.

Jessica is an expert in the financial services industry.

Graduated with a BA in Economics  and an MBA, she has since built a career in the financial services industry.

Jessica has worked at private equity/venture capital firms where she helped start-up businesses for investment opportunities across Southeast Asia.

Her duties include conducting market research and competitive analysis, creating financial models to assess business value, and analyzing the potential returns and risks associated with an investment. She currently works as a hedge fund analyst, where she helps develop investment strategies and plays a role in selecting global equities for inclusion in the company’s funds, considering fundamental and technical analysis methodologies. She has also advised private companies in making Initial Public Offerings (IPOs).

As someone who developed a passion for investing from a young age, Jessica currently invests in stocks and cryptocurrencies and hopes to expand her portfolio over the years.

Knowing how financial literacy can help make a difference in people’s lives, she wants to share her knowledge with others, which is why she joined SFA as a course developer and instructor.

Ario Narisworoputro

Ario is a robotics and electrical engineer with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Ario comes from a third world country and has seen hard working and business people achieve success. Many started with no money and no time; neither for the family, children, and not even for recreation. Their path was to trade time for money.

If that’s the bottom line, that’s not the life he wants to live. He believes there is more to life than just working 60+ hours a week to earn money for daily living. Ario devoted himself to learning how to trade and invest to find a different path.

In doing so, he realizes that there is a way to make money work for him so that he can get his time back.

How Did We Start?

Stewardship Finance Academy, SFA for short, was founded by James Lim in 2015.

Prior to SFA, James Lim spent years working at his mentor’s (John Yii) company, where they help their members with comprehensive market analysis and trading signals.

Even though the trading signals were spot on, they found that 50% of members were still losing money on trades. After several surveys and interviews among the members, James found that this was due to the members’ lack of basic investing and trading skills.

Despite receiving clear signals, they were still unable to make money due to the ever-changing market conditions.

SFA was founded by James Lim for this purpose: to provide people with the knowledge they need to make informed investment decisions and keep their investments sustainable.

He understands that simply providing trading signals and market analysis will not help his students make consistent money in the long run.
